The 17th green has been final soiled and is getting fine rake and prep.

We have now moved onto the new 14th green and by end of play Thursday I would hope to have this soiled up.

The old 8th fairway, work will re commence over the weekend (weather permitting) the D6 bulldozer coming in to begin soiling up.

Top soil

The weather had finally improved enough to begin top soiling the new areas.  We have started on the new 17th green surround.  By the end off the day we had over half off the surround soiled up.  This is the bigger green surround out off the 2.

Drainage

The drainage has been improved on the road around the 1st tee and the road the buggies are parked on.  This involved cutting into the existing road and adding pipe and drains.

We have also lined the fairway bunkers on the 10th (old 12th) and 14th (old 16th), that's all new bunkers away from the green sites ready for sand closer to the season.

Lining bunkers

We have been carrying on with different jobs on the course.   We have started to line the newly constructed bunkers with upside down turf this will stop contamination off the new sand.  We use the wacker plate first to level and compact the soil then we lay the turf on top.

16th tee bank

Steve and Blair finishing off the walk on to the ladies tee on 16.

Old 8th new 6th fairway.

Bill the shaper has finished shaping up the fairway, we now need to conditions to either go cold or dry up before we can get the top soil put back on.  The picture below shows Bill not to far away from the tee bank.  The shape was taken right back to the tee bank.
