Feeding and graden work

We have fed the weaker fairways on the big course 5,14,15&16 and all fairways on the wee piper.  This will strengthen the grass sward and give a nice playing surface.  Any weaker areas that needed a boost e.g. Right hand side 10 fairway have been fed to strengthen and improve the surface.

I have graded 7 1/2 greens on the big course (1,2,3,9,10,17&18) this is part of our ongoing thatch removal programme, the greens have come up very well after being tidied up.  The photos below are before the sand was brushed in, the rain we have had today will help wash in any excess sand.

The big greens have had a light liquid feed and primo maxx this will help to speed up recovery after the graden work.

Turfing

We have turfed a few areas on the course. The old bunker at the greenside on 15, the drain line out of the old pond @ 2 (we have sand and seeded the main area). We also lifted the soft area at the front of the 10th green, dug out all the thatch that is making it soft and replaced with sand and new turf, this should hopefully aid to firm this area up.
